Choosing a luxury fabric is never a simple step. It determines the fit, durability and final perceived value of a garment. An experienced designer knows that a coat or blazer begins long before the sketch: it begins with the hand of the fabric, its weight, its structure, and how it reacts to movement and light.
The first rule is understanding fibres.
The Merino wool is ideal for soft, lightweight outerwear, perfect for variable climates and international collections. The Carded flannels add depth and warmth. Cashmere represents the highest level of luxury, softness and thermal comfort. Noble blends (wool–silk, wool–cashmere, wool–alpaca) combine elegance, resilience and comfort.
The second rule is reading the technical sheet carefully:
weight, composition, width, yarn count. A weight above 450 g/m is ideal for coats; between 250 and 350 g/m for blazers and trousers; under 200 g/m for fluid dresses and women's tailoring.

of the fabric: the fabric already “knows” what garment it wants to become.
